Q: This could be just what I am looking for, but can you please explain how the wrap stays on?
A: The Wrapor shrug is much more than just a wrap, the unique design has armholes for you to put your arms through, that cannot be seen when worn. So it slips on like a jacket and stays put, without slipping down. Here is a link to a video on YouTube showing how the design works.
Q: How can I be sure it will match my dress?
A: Our free fabric sample service enables you to check the colour and fabric before you place an order. There is a large range of fabrics and colours, so most customers that use this service find a good match to their dress, then go on to place an order.
Q: Where are you based?
A: Wrapor is an online business based in Manchester, however we now offer appointments on the last Saturday in every month. Please contact: Kay@wraporshrug.co.uk if you would like to arrange to try some of our samples on with your dress.
Q: Do you hold stock?
A: No all of our designs are made to order from a huge range of fabrics, colours and sizes, we couldn’t possible stock every variation. However we do have some samples in some sizes.
Q: I want to wear a veil on my wedding day, would your shrug look right with a veil?
A: Yes, the Wrapor shrug can look fantastic with a veil, as it is much neater than a traditional wrap. I would advise you to wear the veil at the back of your head, for a simple, modern look. Please have a look at Alison Topper on the testimonial page, I am sure you will agree she look gorgeous wearing both. For a vintage touch why not choose a birdcage veil?
Q: How quickly can you turn around an order?
A: Usually within a week, please contact me before you order if you don’t have much time.
Q: I am usually a size 16, but my wedding dress is a size 20, so I am not sure what size to order.
A: Our sizing is more realistic than wedding dress sizes which can be tiny, if you usually by a size 16 top then this size should be fine for you, and there is also some give in the cut of the fabric. Please measure yourself using the measuring guide, if you are in between sizes, order the larger size, it can be altered easily if needed. We will do this free of charge if required.
Q: I am usually a size 12, but I sometime have to buy a size 14 because I have a large bust, what size should I order?
A: As the shrug doesn’t go around your bust, I would advise you to order a size 12, as a size 14 may be too big on your shoulder and slip down.
Q: Can I order 2 sizes then send one back?
A: Afraid not, as each garment is made to order, we have a different returns policy than off the peg mail order, but we do offer a free alteration service, or we will exchange it for another size, if your shrug doesn’t fit.
Q: I am really conscious of my arms and would like to cover them on my wedding day, what is the measurement from top to bottom?
A: The plain shrugs measure 11 inches from top to bottom, the shrugs with an overlay measure 13 inches. They can be made up to 2 inches longer as a special order, please choose this option when placing your order.
Q: My wedding dress is made from silk, I would love a shrug in the same fabric, would you be able to match it?
A: There are hundreds of different types of silk to choose from, far too many to list on the website. If you can send a sample, maybe cut from the hem, we will try to match it.
Q: I have a dress I am wearing for a black tie function, it’s red satin, what do you suggest?
A: It would be difficult to match the colour and fabric exactly, but we will try, or you could either choose a contrasting fabric or a different colour to match your shoes or accessories.
Q: I am having an evening dress made for me and would love a matching Wrapor shrug, can one be made in my own fabric?
A: This can be arranged depending on the fabric you would like to use and if we think it will work well. You as a customer will be responsible for insurance against loss during transit.
Q: I’m very impressed with such a personal service! I found out about Wrapor through the youandyourwedding.com forum. I had heard that they were perfect for brides who were self conscious about their arms! I will definitely be investing in one of your shrugs, I just need to check the colour first. My only other concern is the size of the arm holes. I have really large upper arms and I am concerned that the shrug won’t fit me on the arms. Is it possible to measure my arms and ask you to make one that will fit me?
A: That’s lovely to hear, thank-you. The brides on the Y&YW forum, have always been big fans of Wrapor which is really helpful to us and to our potential customers. Your arms in themselves shouldn’t be a problem, its your overall measurement that counts. Please measure yourself using the measuring guide, if you are in between sizes, I would recommend the larger size. If in doubt, choose the larger size anyway, we will alter it for you if needed.
