FAQ

Q: This could be just what I am looking for, but can you please explain how the wrap stays on?

A: The Wrapor shrug is more than just a wrap, the unique design has armholes for you to put your arms through, that cannot be seen when worn. So it slips on like a jacket and stays put, without slipping down.

Q: I want to wear a veil on my wedding day, would your shrug look right with a veil?

A: Yes, the Wrapor shrug can look fantastic with a veil, as it is much neater than a traditional wrap.  I would advise you to wear the veil at the back of your head, for a simple, modern look.  Please have a look at Alison Topper on the testimonial page, I am sure you will agree she look gorgeous wearing both

Q: I am usually a size 16, but my wedding dress is a size 20, so I am not sure what size to order.

A: Our sizing is more realistic than wedding dress sizes which can be tiny, if you usually by a size 16 top then this size should be fine for you, and there is also some give in the cut of the fabric.

Q: I am usually a size 12, but I sometime have to buy a size 14 because I have a large bust, what size should I order?

A: As the shrug doesn’t go around your bust, I would advise you to order a size 12, as a size 14 may be too big on your shoulder and slip down.

Q: Can I order 2 sizes then send one back?

A: No, as each garment is made to order, we have a different returns policy than off the peg mail order, but we do offer a free alteration service, or we will exchange it for another size, if your shrug doesn’t fit.

Q: In that case how can I be sure it will match my dress?

A: Our free fabric sample service enables you to check the colour and fabric before you place an order. There is a large range of fabrics and colours, so most customers that use this service find a good match to their dress, then go on to place an order.

Q: I am really conscious of my arms and would like to cover them on my wedding day, what is the measurement from top to bottom?

A: The plain shrugs measure 11 inches from top to bottom, the shrugs with an overlay measure 13 inches. They can be made up to 2 inches longer as a special order.

Q: My wedding dress is made from silk, I would love a shrug in the same fabric, would you be able to match it?

A: There are hundreds of different types of silk to choose from, far too many to list on the website. If you can send me a sample, maybe cut from the hem, we will try to match it.

Q: I have a dress I am wearing for a black tie function, it’s red satin, what do you suggest?

A: It would be difficult to match the colour and fabric exactly, you could either choose a contrasting fabric or a different colour to match your shoes or accessories.

Q: I am having an evening dress made for me and would love a matching Wrapor shrug, can one be made in my own fabric?

A: This can be arranged depending on the fabric you would like to use and if we think it will work well. You as a customer will be responsible for insurance against loss during transit.
